Shows on United Boulevard

Theatre nights at Great Canadian Casino

The casino on United Boulevard has two stages: The Show Theatre and the smaller Asylum Sound Stage. Here is what kinds of shows play there, where to find the schedule, how tickets are sold and how a show night works.

Two stages, two moods

The Show Theatre is the main room. It hosts concerts, comedy and touring productions. It can also be booked for private events.

Asylum Sound Stage is the smaller venue. It books live music, comedy, burlesque and other acts. Asylum also runs as a casual restaurant and bar.

The theatre has had a few names over the years. It started as the Red Robinson Show Theatre, became The Theatre at Hard Rock Casino Vancouver in late 2013, and was the Molson Canadian Theatre from May 2016. Older listings and ticket stubs may still use one of those names.

Seats and accessible seating

The official site gives The Show Theatre's capacity as 1,100 seats. That is a mid-sized room, not an arena.

Ticketmaster lists 16 wheelchair and attendant spaces on the orchestra level. If you need one of these spaces, book it when you buy your tickets.

The flyer has not found an official accessibility statement for the rest of the building. For questions about washrooms, entrances or service animals, call the casino at 1-604-523-6888.

Where the schedule lives and where tickets are sold

The show list is published on the official casino site. Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster's venue page.

The flyer does not list upcoming shows here. Line-ups change, and the venue's own pages are the place to check.

Ticket prices are set show by show. The venue and Ticketmaster publish them with each listing.

Encore presale codes

Before the May 2026 ownership change, The Show Theatre page said that Encore Rewards members get presale codes for Show Theatre tickets. That page also said members sign up at Guest Services.

Encore Rewards still appears on the property page. The flyer has not confirmed whether the presale perk or the sign-up steps changed after the sale, so ask at Guest Services before you count on a code.

How a show night works

  1. Check the listing. Each show has its own start time and door time. One October 2026 listing had doors at 7 PM for an 8 PM show.
  2. Get there and park. Parking on site is free. For bus routes and the drive in, see Getting there.
  3. Bring photo ID. Since June 26, 2023, BC requires every guest to show original government-issued photo ID to enter a gaming facility. The gaming floor is 19+. The flyer has not found an official statement on age limits for individual shows, so read the ticket listing and ask the venue if anyone in your group is under 19.
  4. Eat before or after. The building has Gordon Ramsay Burger, Chopsticks Noodle House and Asylum. Hours change, so check the venue's site.

For groups, the casino says it can host reservations for up to 50 people.

If you stay for the floor

Some people pair a show with time on the gaming floor. Set a budget before you go and treat it as the cost of a night out. The casino has a GameSense Info Centre with staff who can help with limits.

If gambling stops feeling like fun, Gambling Support BC is free and open 24/7 at 1-888-795-6111. More on our Gambling support page, and a general overview of the venue is on The casino.
